for many years Jette Torp has not only been a singer.
She has made shows, and up through the 90's she was in pailletkjole and stilettos on the nation's major scenes, where she danced, silly, and ping-pongede with Finn Nørbygaard in their show 'Music and the Fis'.
Recently, Jette Torp three years ago, toured around the country's major musikhuse with unusual cuts will carve out 'Rainy Days and Mondays'.
But when the lights turned off, and the last performance was over, tagged Jette Torp that she was tired.
Tired of to entertain and tired of the necks for the next big success, as both she and others expected of her.
When I appeared on the big scenes with large setups, so had all the time sold tickets, made publicity, and we talked about how we should hit the target audience. And I was simply so full of, say, the 54-year-old singer.
- It was not because I didn't like it, I did, but I thought the whole time, I had to invent myself again, and I thought there was a discrepancy between how much time I spent on the music and on everything around it, she says.
the Feeling of being burned out on the job came, while Jette Torp had been separated from Klaus Pilgaard, better known as Chili Klaus, and her children were about to move away from home.
in Addition, she was on the way to fill the 50 years, which she, to put it mildly had it tight.
- I think it was absolutely terrible having to fill 50 years. I felt that the team now shut up, now shut it all just for a bit, and I was in a midlife crisis-feeling, both in my personal life and in my career, says Jette Torp.
But when the round birthday approached, she decided to put krisestemningen behind and focus on the positive.
I reached to get the feeling that 50 years is a brilliant place to be in his life. I'm only half-way, I have learned a lot and I have some wonderful children, which is self-propelled.
- I think it gave me a strength to say: Now I do not bother continue down showvejen, when it does not make sense. So I set a bom and said 'been there, done that', she says.
Jette Torp took down his hair and declared that she after 50 years was done with being a redhead and instead would be fair.
She packed pailletkjolen and showgirlen away and in recent years toured around in churches and other small venues with nothing but a guitar under his arm, a lipstick in the bag and his mate Jan Kaspersen, as she has played with for the last 20 years.
I said to myself: Do it, you have wanted to, and don't think that you need to make a big spectacle.
- I think that the reason why I have done it so much in the past, has been a lack of trust, that my music could bear in itself. But it has been incredibly liberating to say I'm done with to entertain, she says.
