Iceland removes Denmark from its list of high-risk

Iceland removes from Thursday Denmark from its list of high-risk.

It informs the government of iceland in a news release.

It means that the danes, who travel to Iceland, get rid of having to take a test for coronavirus entry.

Also Finland, Germany and Norway are removed from the list.

however, This only applies if travelers from the four countries have visited a højrisikoland in the previous 14 days.

- It is logical to start by looking at the four countries, because they represent almost half of the incoming planes to the Island. Hopefully we can soon invite travelers from other countries without a screening at the border, says the islands tourism, Thordis Kolbrun R Gylfadóttir, in the press release.

Since 15. June, Iceland has been a requirement that one either goes in the 14-day quarantine upon arrival or take a coronatest, if you come from a højrisikoland.

the Island has tested 36.738 persons in the period since 15. June. In short, they have found 84 positive test.

No one has been hospitalized in the Island since the 14. may. There is now a 12 'active infection', says the press release, while 93 people are in quarantine.

In all, ten people died of coronavirus in the Island.

Denmark opened the 15. June, that icelanders will be able to enter – and that the danes no longer were advised not to travel to the Island.

If the icelanders traveling to Denmark, they get an offer to be tested for the coronavirus at the border. However, it is voluntary whether they want to avail themselves of it.
