Dutch police have uncovered what is referred to as the country's largest kokainlaboratorie.
It is situated in a former riding school in a northern agricultural area. An extensive police raid has been conducted at the site, where at least 17 suspects have been arrested. Most of them were colombian nationals.
Three of the dutchmen and a turk were arrested.

- from the size of the site, the number of persons who were employed there, and out from the equipment and interior design, we estimate that there was a capacity to produce between 150 and 200 kilos of cocaine daily, says van Rijn in a press release.
This volume has on the street a value of between 4.5 million and 6.0 million euros (between 33.5 million crowns and 44,7 million).
in addition to tens of thousands of gallons of chemicals and other equipment, the police have confiscated 100 kilos of kokainbase and klædestykker, which was used to transport the substance.
It was a gigantic production, " says a policeman, who refers to the lab as a form of 'narkotikavaskeri', where the cocaine was washed out of the clothes. Smuggling was the substances dissolved and introduced or distributed in pieces of cloth, which was exported.
the Police have in total made three raids in the matter - in the cities of Nijeveen, Apeldoorn and Elshout. In total, the police have according to the dpa found to 120,000 pounds of clothing, which has been used for the transport of cocaine.
Additional arrests may be made in the case.
the Netherlands is perceived as an important indsmuglingsland, and the authorities have over the years stepped up the fight against drug-related crime - particularly against the cocaine. Cocaine comes in particular to Europe via the Rotterdam - Europe's largest port.
