GAN's newly discovered sailors sold at auction

In Lund, sweden in 1915 asked the artist Gösta Adrian-Nilsson, GAN, out of two works with the title ”Katarinahissen”, a few years later came another work, ”the Katarinahissen III” in the cubist series with the mariners at the Lock. The third painting in the series sold 2017 8.9 million.

Was the ”one” existed has not been widely known, but after a hundred years, have the piece now surfaced, after having been in the same family's ownership during the entire time.
