Further Gurlitt works will be restituted : the Handover of the portrait of Thomas Couture in the Martin-Gropius-Bau to the heirs

A day after the end of the Gurlitt exhibition in the Martin-Gropius-Bau, state Minister for Culture, Monika Grütters, said on Tuesday another image to the descendants of Jewish collectors: the portrait of a seated young woman by Thomas Couture (1815-1879). It is the sixth work that can be classified as Nazi-looted art, of around 1,300 works from the soon to nine years in Munich, and in Salzburg emerged collection of Cornelius Gurlitt.
