the Words come from the director of Denmark's oldest revue, Rottefælderevyen, Pia Ullehus, she just has announced in a press release, this year's revue is canceled.
'Rottefælderevyen has been in existence for 136 years and has survived everything from world wars, recession and the stiff gale. Covid-19 passes, however, everything. In a virus which it must we, unfortunately, see us beaten', writes the revue.
the Decision has been far from easy for the team behind, who had long hoped for a miracle. But Pia Ullehus tells that they are not so with no other option than to cancel.
- We had seen it coming, but we have the hope and crossed fingers, but we can see that it's not going to happen. We must not, as it is so so easy, she says.

At the end of april, the government published a support package to help revyerne. Pia Ullehus do not know, however, how and how well Rottefælden be covered.
- It will, I hope, but we have not got anything yet. But I am counting on, that we are, " she says, and tells that the fear of losing a lot of money not have played into the decision.
- We are going to lose something no matter what, we can't avoid. But we are thinking very much on our guests. We are a theater, where you sit close, so it would be indefensible if we played the revue at this time.

Rottefælderevyen 2021 will premiere 3. June.
