Deceased Dutch doctor is the father of 49 children

at Least 49 Dutch have several half siblings, than they just went and thought.

A dna test shows that the Dutch fertilitetslæge Jan Karbaat, who died in 2017, is the father of at least 49 children. They all come to the world through the doctor's clinic in Rotterdam.

Jan Karbaat inseminerede the children's mom with his own sperm instead of the sperm from selected donors.

the Results from the dna samples confirms according to the organization, which represents those affected, 'the serious suspicion that the Karbaat used his own sperm on his clinic'.

A Dutch court ruled in February that the results would be published.

When he was still alive, admitted Karbaat supposedly, that he through his clinic had been the father of about 60 children. The clinic closed in 2009 after reports of irregularities.

Later admitted Karbaat according to the Dutch newspaper the NRC, he mixed the sperm of different donors, and that he issued the false donor documentation on.

Jan Karbaat was 89 years old when he died in 2017.

A group of possible Karbaat-children pulled his family in court to force the family to release the doctor's dna profile. It was kept in a locked safe.

the Family's attorneys argued, however, that the right to privacy should be respected.

But the judgment was, that there should be a test, so the possible Karbaat-children could get a surety.

- Now, after several years of uncertainty, they can finally close a chapter and begin to understand the fact that they are among Karbaats many descendants, said Iara de Witte, adviser in the case.

Karbaat can also be a father, even more than the 49 children. According to the Dutch news agency ANP, was the doctor's cumshot is also distributed to other clinics.

If someone suspects that they are the descendants of Karbaat, they can now find the answers via the Dutch dna-database.
