DR-icon fired after 34 years: - I have tried it, which is worse

205 employees in the DR on Wednesday became the mind - or in plain English fired. Among those who got the dreaded call from the boss, was DR-icon Jens Olaf Jersild.

- I was mind yesterday. But, there are back, is that I'm such a, that have a very long termination. And the programs continue the strange enough, says 58-year-old Jens Olaf Jersild, who each week sends 'Jersild without spin' and 'Jersild on Trump' on DR2.

He has one year of termination and has an agreement with the DR that his programs will continue at least until next summer. Maybe longer.

- I look with excitement at what is going to happen. The programs continue. It is core public service, and they are really cheap to produce. We are two people, who are doing two programmes a week, which together have between 250,000 and 300,000 viewers. I'm excited to see what they would send instead, " says Jens Olaf Jersild and continues:

- I think that it is something you should keep an eye on. Whether it is a road, the DR choose to walk down. On closing the cheap programs and rates on the big bureaucratic solutions, says the experienced host who is very collected after Wednesday's firing.

- DR would like to continue with your programs, but have fired you. The feeling it gives you? Are you angry, disappointed or hurt?

- Were you prepared or were you surprised that you were the mind?

Since Jens Olaf Jersild was fired, several of his colleagues sent supportive greetings to him. And even if he is not knocked out of the message, warming it.
