"It was a hard decision because I was very sick," he says.
It was a year ago that Sven Melander was told that he was suffering from cancer. In the spring and in the summer he went through a chemotherapy – something that was near to stop his participation in the ”Stars at the castle”.
The last reading made just a month before principal photography.
Ten days before the recording would start, I was extremely hesitant, " says Sven Melander and tells us that he greatly had overestimated how quickly he would recover.
to Teleborgs castle to meet up with the rest of this year's participants: Camilla Läckberg, Alexander Karim, Kajsa Ernst and Lena Söderblom. It was a tough week but it went fine in the end.
"It was perhaps useful as well, to get started," says Sven Melander.
Otherwise, he did not hesitate when he was asked about being in the ”Stars at the castle”.
" It was just to say yes, with certain reservations. I was interested in what the other would be with. My desire was that there would be people I don't know, or have worked with for I think it will be better when it's people you haven't met. Otherwise, they have their beliefs about people. And it turned out that I haven't worked with any of these, just barely met them. It was a very, very crucial, " says Sven Melander.

" It was a natural question, which I thought was very good. She asked me if I defined myself by what I had done, and my job, and yes – I do. It does probably most people.
