Bad karma is good karma

TV: Sol Heilo is a solo artist, multiinstrumentalist and a music producer, but is best known for his 13 years with Katzenjammer, the Band got a career even outside of Norway, and played for tens of thousands. This is her night, and this we believe about the other artists ' contributions:

Elisabeth Andreassen: "A Bar In Amsterdam" (Mats Rybø)

Elisabeth takes "ekstraummeret" first, Katzenjammers gjennombruddslåt - and also the wildest and fastest. Elisabeth presents the country. Or is it western? Spagettiwestern? Surfmusikk?

This song is as to the degree associated with Katzenjammer that it is a bold choice. So what do Bettan? She just throws herself out there, and with good help from husgitarist Truls Whales - including fill in on the guitar where the Sun plays the trumpet on the original. He promises so many notches that this is his song almost as much as it is bettan " s.

Lars Bremnes: "Lady Marlene" (Solveig Heilo)

Also this is a Katzenjammer-song, but written by the Sol - heavily inspired by Metallicas "Master Of Puppets".

Here is Lars in his ace, very close to his own usual style. He has translated the " song to the north and performing it on Bremnes-show – a captivating display. The event is fikst, a bit of Leonard Cohen-the street, with the violinist Marie Klåpbakken in a central role. Lars makes it his, not least through his fine translation, and warm vocals.

Tom Mathisen: "Demon Kitty Rag" (Mats Rybø)

It is wonderful to see Tomas with jazzgitaren. He does not let a anleldning to tøve a little to go from, but here is one he surprisingly "tame" – in the best sense of the word. A little bit of acting also.

Tom turns out from a new and different page here, and he turns himself loose in a different way than usual. He has feet! Maybe he needs to get with the jazzplata that he has talked about and worked with in over 40 years, this is clearly something he likes to keep in with. Tonight's contribution has a sigøyneraktig event and he takes care of the guitar solo neck. And Klåpbakken "rages" again.

Trine Rein: "Rock Paper Scissors" (Anne Marit Bergheim / Marianne Sveen / Heilo/ Turid Jørgensen / Robert Ellis Orral)

Katzenjammer was sent to Nashville to write songs, so what is more natural than to present this as a countrylåt?

It will say, this is countryrock, with the press of the rock – again with Klåpbakken in a central role. This is really her night.

Carol sings so good that we forget a bit that the song in itself is quite ordinary, without the great promise along the way. But Trine gjior it a boost. It is also interesting to see - and hear – that she is been really hot in the jersey after a slightly fumbling start this season. She knows this format as though she has done anything else.

Maria Haukaas Mittet: "London Is Trouble" (Simon Walker / Heilo)

Maria strikes again. She has made a Norwegian version of this song – and given it the title "the London e trouble".

the Song is taken from the " translate solo album "Skinhorse Playground" from 2017. Maria says she feels that she has stepped right into the journal her, but it's her own emotions that takes over. She has above all made a good translation/reworking, and she sings so fine that almost only she can.

It's been a mild track in the countryland that flows nicely along. Maybe missing an ever so little lift along the way, but it is offset by Mary's dedication, compassion, and feeling. Sitting like a shot, gripping and close.

Petter "Disaster" Kristiansen: "Killing Karma" (Walker/Heilo)

"I drekker on me more bad karma", sings the Disaster. Yes, he has translated freely to "østfoldsk" and made a little - and performing the song so we are used to and expect to hear him.

But here, there is not a lot of bad karma. Disaster is certainly within your comfort zone, but it is not only a tulletekst about "drekking" - as one would expect. There is a depth here, on the rim.

the Disaster has raised himself after the bad start. Musical hanging it also certainly add up. It is not caused by at least Klåpbakkens fiollinspill – again. Disaster makes this song more intriguing - and better. A fresh finish for the smoothest application this season.

Next Saturday, Lars Bremnes hedersgjest.
