HIP reopens its Barceló Aguamarina hotel in Mallorca after investing 21 million

HIP (Blackstone) reopens its Barceló Aguamarina hotel in Mallorca after a comprehensive refurbishment in which it has invested 20.5 million.

Hotel Investment Partners (HIP), Blackstone's hotel investment platform, reopens its Barceló Aguamarina hotel, in the municipality of Felanitx (Majorca), after a comprehensive renovation of all its facilities that has involved an investment of around 20.5 million euros.

After the investment made by HIP, the hotel managed by Barceló has risen in category, going from three to four stars. The renovation has included the reform of its 417 rooms.

The existing common areas have also been transformed; new spaces have been created, such as a swimming pool for adults on the beachfront; and the gastronomic offer has been expanded and renewed.

This reopening adds to that of Dreams Calviá Mallorca, after a reform of 27 million euros. This hotel, owned by HIP, will be operated under a brand of AMR Collection, hotel manager of Apple Leisure Group, part of Hyatt.

HIP, founded in 2015 by Alejandro Hernández-Puértolas and Banco Sabadell and acquired by Blackstone in 2017, has 71 hotels with 21,241 rooms in Spain, Greece, Italy and Portugal.
