Anorexia, don't we lower the guard. But with the right care it can heal

Lorenzo, about a month ago, I wrote a list of dreams to realize. Dreams full of humanity and want to share, how to travel, offer you the breakfast to his father, to be more proud of himself. Dreams that had kindled a new hope in parents of Lorenzo, Fabio Sower and Francesca Lazzari. Lorenzo, unfortunately, didn't make it to bring to completion the whole list of desires that had drawn up: he died at 20 years old, worn out dell’ anorexia , the disease with which he had begun to reckon from the first years of high school, turning off even the hope of his parents. A huge pain for everyone.

Of this disorder of the food behaviour, you should talk more, and it is also necessary to take measures from a normative point of view. According to the data of the Italian Society for the study of eating disorders (SISDCA) who is most affected by anorexia are girls, starting already from a young age, in a ratio of 9 to 1 compared to males. As it goes on in adolescence, however, the report goes from 3 to 1: this means that the number of boys increases significantly. Among men, say the data, the number of new cases of anorexia range between 0.02 and 1.4 per 100,000 people. The phenomenon, therefore, can occur already from your children, it can appear in pre-adolescence, adolescence, but also after the age of 40. And can have different degrees of severity. There is anorexia, there are many types of anorexia, and cannot be reduced to a gender issue.
