According to Master Talks, three out of four Spaniards think that our historical figures in the country aren't sufficiently valued. Four out of five Spaniards are against eliminating Isabella the Catholic and Columbus from the Baccalaureate.
The Comillas Pontifical University of Madrid hosted the 'Master Talks' to help it claim its historical weight. These talks featured Isabella the Catholic, Christopher Columbus and Lope de Vega and covered topics such as entrepreneurship leadership and self-confidence. There are hundreds of talks on the Internet about three of the most important topics. Atrapalo, Puy du parc Fou Spain, said that the best experts in these subjects were found more than five centuries ago. They are known as Isabel, Columbus, and Lope.
The Master Talks Study concluded that 8/10 Spaniards believe Christopher Columbus is more qualified to speak about entrepreneurship than Elon Musk. However, 3/4 of them continue to acknowledge that we don't value our historical figures as well as other countries.
Master Talks are designed to encourage pride in our characters and to recognize their achievements taking into consideration the historical contexts they were born. It was decided that the Puy du Fou Park historians in Toledo would be brought together to recreate the scenario if Columbus, Isabel, and Lope were to return to the present and give inspirational talks.
Colon encourages us to look beyond our history for inspirations. He ends his talk by asking us to reflect on this: "Each century has its heroes, who are yours ?>>.?"
Isabel la Catolica, for her part, explains that she didn't inherit the Kingdom, as many believe. She had to wage war in order to get to the throne. She says that sometimes we are just a victim of our gender. She goes so far to tell the story of how she led her army when she was pregnant and how she told Fernando II of Aragon at the beginning her relationship that she ruled over Castile.
Finally, Lope De Vega speaks out about self-confidence with his mocking tone. They call me the 'Monster of Nature and the 'Phoenix of Ingenuity'. I would rather say that I am an unparalleled genius ...>>..
Atrapalo, Puy du Fou Espana Park have decided to gather these historical figures following the Master Talks Study. This study examined the knowledge of Spaniards regarding the most important figures in our history and found that 77% of them don't value (88%), and 88% do not know enough.
Erwan de la Villeon CEO of Puy du Fou Spain said that heroes don't die and have their home in Puy du Fou. We want to give them the projection that they deserve beyond the park with this action. We have an even more powerful idea in mind: to create the chair for rehabilitation of historical figures. We will win the battle if we can see the motivational talks inspire young people and there is enough room for Colon or Lope. We are actually planning to make the talks available in a physical format beginning in September.
