The LDLC group will soon buy the Rue du Commerce platform

The distributor of high-tech products LDLC announced that it had signed an acquisition protocol for the e-commerce site Rue du Commerce. The operation, “subject to certain suspensive conditions including authorization from the competition authority”, must be finalized by the end of June, the group said in a press release. No amount was specified for the transaction. Rue du Commerce, one of the pioneers of online commerce in France since its creation in 1999 and specializing in high technology, launched its marketplace in 2007. It was bought by Shopinvest in 2020.

In 2023, its business “represented a business volume of around 100 million euros, a third of which was carried out by the Galerie Marchande, for a turnover of around 70 million euros”, indicates the LDLC group. Rue du Commerce employs around forty people. Heavyweight in IT and high-tech e-commerce in France, LDLC Group, whose head office is located in Limonest near Lyon, has more than 1,000 employees for a turnover of 567.4 million euros, according to its website.
