Traffic “resumes normally” at the Gare du Nord and the Gare Montparnasse, in Paris, following power supply failures in Saint-Arnoult, in the Yvelines, the SNCF announced to Figaro. "The situation is stable. The two incidents have been resolved, there are no more disruptions, with the exception of some residual delays on the Atlantic high-speed line, in particular to Bordeaux and Brittany", explains the railway company. "We have a few TGVs impacted, Brest-Paris and Quimper-Paris, and which leave Brittany", confirms the regional communication of the SNCF, specifying "that between 2 and 4 TGVs" were concerned.
The SNCF also announced that the travelers affected by these 2 breakdowns last night will be compensated. For a delay of between 30 minutes and 2 hours, the refund amounts to 25% of the ticket price, 50% between 2 and 3 hours and 75% beyond 3 hours. Reimbursement will be made either in vouchers or by bank transfer, but only if the duration of the delay is greater than 60 minutes. Unless this delay exceeds 4 hours. “All travelers whose train has experienced a delay of more than 4 hours will be compensated up to 100% in vouchers”, specifies the SNCF which specifies that “for all travelers on the Atlantic axis”, it will be possible to exchange “free of charge” their ticket “all weekend”.
