It was difficult to not be there to see your child's birth, and then to have to hear about Anna's son's passing, and then to plan Anna's funeral. From buying a tombstone, to purchasing my daughter's first birthday gift and planning her party, it was a lot. It was difficult for me to process all of it. And... And... It was just there.
Birkhead, a single parent, lives a quiet life in Kentucky, where he has been raising Dannielynn (15), far from Hollywood.
Birkhead stated, "I'm proud to my daughter because she's so great without her mom and she does her very best every day." She makes me smile, laugh, and embarrass her daily like many dads. She doesn't like dad jokes. We have certain rules that prohibit me from using social media. I'm not allowed to say or post things, and I'm also not allowed to make them. It is not acceptable to walk with her to school, then show up at school to dance or start dabbing. She's funny, and I love her. She is a wonderful kid.
