"We want to be a national reference in festivals this year, maintaining the highest artistic standard and its originality in a powerful and attractive space. Despite the limitations of the pandemic, the event has seen an exponential growth in 2020 and 2021. We hope to increase the number and satisfaction of artists, public, institutions, and collaborators without any capacity limitations." Javier Rovira is the founder and director for cultural activity. He stated that they have chosen to "continue growing year after year, expand and hold additional editions in spring or autumn to coincide with times of tourist influx".
Its eclecticism means that everyone can attend, from the most ardent music lover to the casual tourist. However, all will find a festival full of dream nights where quality, variety, and originality.
It is based on classical music, but also includes references to contemporary dance, literature, and flamenco.

However, the main attraction of the Classics in the Park Festival is the place where it takes places. Rodalquilar, which is not in vain, is a charming town in Cabo de Gata, and it anchors in the Rodalquilar Valley.
Its origins are volcanic calderas. Its rich and interesting mining history is reflected in the buildings that rise up the hillside. They are surrounded by the local vegetation. These buildings are rich in history and filled with energy from the earth, the concert venues are surrounded by incredible nature.
The Rodalquilar Amphitheater will host the 2022 performances. This converted Dorr Plant raft yard was a key element in the gold extraction process of the 1930s. Also, the Patio de los Espartales, which is the nerve center for the social buildings and buildings constructed in the second operation (1956-1966), will be used. Open-air spaces that are open to the elements, under the stars and the breeze from the sea.
Indirect lights illuminate the surrounding nature, creating an intoxicating atmosphere. Some nights, the moon illuminates the performers. These concerts are unique and powerful performances that create a sense of wonder and a sense of a night.
Rodalquilar's organizer body, the 'Clasicos en el Parque’ association, brought the festival to Rodalquilar to host a summer music class: the 'Rodalquilar Valley Course. Concerts by students, teachers, and other guests artists were also scheduled.
Each course was prepared in a simple manner, but with lots of love. The course was a huge success, with five editions. The festival and concerts survived crises and pandemics. The 'Classics in the Park Festival has been a cultural landmark in the region and is one of the most popular events in the province.
