"Express to Paradise" is the schizophrenic memory of Kurt Vonnegut's son.

Mark didn't intend to follow the path of Kurt Vonnegut (author of acclaimed works like 'Slaughterhouse Five and 'The April Fools’ Crusade'), but he did. He retained his paternal pacifist, countercultural influence and a pinch of hyperbolic humor when he wrote a book about his experiences as a hippie in Canada.

"Express to paradise." Memory of Madness - published in 1975, and now rescued by Libros del Kultrum – begins with a hippie adventure of a wealthy young person with a famous father. Thoreau's 'Walden" (It's a remarkable life. He writes that he didn't mind the discomfort, but the book is actually about the author's struggle with schizophrenia. Mark Vonnegut (USA 1947) writes that schizophrenia can be difficult to accept. He will eventually overcome his mental illness and become a pediatrician.

Mark was 22 years old when he entered Hollywood Hospital to treat LSD addicts. Kurt was right next to Mark, trying to save his most important work. The father remembered that Mark had been able to recover from his injuries two decades earlier in a reissue.

It's an interesting volume, which follows a trail that includes works like 'Punch With Lysergic Acid' by Tom Wolfe, 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' by Ken Kesey and 'Junkie' by William Burroughs. It has a happy end.
