Cate Blanchett will receive the Film at Lincoln Center Award

Lincoln Center will present Cate Blanchett its 47th Chaplin Award during the annual fundraising gala.

Cate Blanchett will receive the Film at Lincoln Center Award

Film at Lincoln Centerannounced Blanchett's award on Friday. It will be presented on April 25th at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall.

"We are delighted to welcome Cate Blanchett to Film at Lincoln Center," stated Lesli Klainberg (executive director of Film at Lincoln Center), in a statement. "Ms. Blanchett's remarkable career includes performances in films that range from small independent projects to major studio franchises, and with some the most well-known directors of all time. We are honored to celebrate her and add another award to her well-deserved list.

The Chaplin Award Gala that honored Spike Lee was delayed more than a decade by the pandemic. It was finally held in September last year. Since 1972, the Chaplin Award has been presented. Previous recipients include Elizabeth Taylor, Billy Wilder and Martin Scorsese.
Blanchett is a two-time Academy Award nominee for her performances in "Blue Jasmine", and "The Aviator."
has recently starred in Guillermo del Toro's" Nightmare Alley" as well as Adam McKay's"Don't Look Up."
