A surfer has lost his life after he was attacked by a three meter long shark in the australian state of New South Wales.

The male surfer lost according to the australian media his leg during the attack on Sunday outside the coastal town of Kingscliff.
More surfers on the beach came the man to the rescue and helped him then in the country, reports the police.
An ambulance was sent to the site, but the man's life was not to save.
- He received acute care for the serious injury to the leg, but died on the spot, writes the police in a statement.
