Queen riddert British rescuers of Thai football players
Royalty Seven British divers who earlier this year in a spectacular way twelve Thai football players to rescue from a cave in Thailand, received from the British queen Elizabeth high distinction. Three of them are knighted, four others get civil decorations.

The divers Joshua Bratchley, Connor Roe, and Vernon Unsworth received from queen Elizabeth, a knighthood for the key role they played in the liberation of the group of Thai boys from the cave in which they were stuck. Richard Stanton and John Volanthen, who was the first the boys were, Christopher Jewell and Jason Mallinson received civil awards for their displayed courage and bravery.
