A sigh of relief, went there last Friday by the studio of ‘The Voice’. The first six candidates to the live shows may have been chosen. It involves three participants from Team Koen – Ibe Wuyts, Rune Of the Notelaer and William Lacroix and three from Team Bart: Bram The Mets, Karim Lequenne and Petra Hessing. And it is the latter that still is remarkable from the corner. Petra is with her 44 year ouderdomsdeken of the team. She comes from the Netherlands, but lived 12 years in Belgium. Undoubtedly, it has the most powerful voice of all the female participants this year. Will that for her the difference continue to create during the live shows from may 3? “I hope so”, she laughs.
You are going to have another genre to try during the live shows.
“Yes, I hope the people are so amazing. I want to have a select genre that people don't like me have heard of it. No rock, blues or soul, so this time, but a light-hearted popnummer. Something that I, anyway, far out of my comfort zone will act, and that makes it extra exciting for me.”
Will it also for extra nerves?
“For a dose of healthy stress, I let them keep. But suffer from nerves, I always, when I'm on a podium step. As soon as I get a sense sung have, is that it does completely off of me, and I can really concentrate on my performance. I live to the live shows! I go the next few weeks, practice, practice and yet again practice. Even at my work, I sing all the time. My colleagues at Carglass that are already used to from me. They support me tremendously in this musical adventure and are very proud of me.”
How are you actually in Belgium ended up?
“I am the love followed. And in addition, a home is a lot cheaper in Belgium than in the Netherlands (laughs) .”
