They sell stadiums out and scores hit after hit. But Katy Perry (34) has a particularly difficult childhood. With ‘gratitude’ to her parents Maurice and Mary for a very special lifestyle chose. “All their time and money went to the creation of new churches, where we are continually moved,” says Katy Perry. “My parents worked and had no income. All they got was charity and donations. To eat, we could often only buy with food stamps. And sometimes we even had no vouchers, so we the hungry. All of our clothing was second hand. As a child I underwent all of that, but as a teenager I started to rebel.” Katy now has a difficult relationship with her parents.
