Connie Culp drew the headlines back in 2008 when she was the first american patient who was transplanted a new face. Now she is dead at the age of 57 years.

Back in 2004, survived Connie Culp, an attempted murder, where she got shot the face of, then she got transplanted an entire new face from a donor.

It was Connie Culps man who shot her in the face with a oversavet shotgun. He was sent to prison for seven years, while she was scarred for life.
the Shot left a huge hole in her face. Nose, cheeks, mouth, and one eye was gone. Several hundred pellets and bone fragments were buried deep in her face.
After a 22-hour operation back in 2008, replaced doctors 80 percent of Connie Culps face with bones, muscles, skin and blood vessels from another woman who was dead.
