“Still six days to go and another sixty-six to the finals,” wrote Galecki Monday on his Instagrampagina. “It feels all so unreal. Much love to all the fans!”
From “what a strange openingsliedje” to “there is no ‘Big Bang’ without you, the opening song sing along”, no one had expected that the sitcom about a group of geeky friends to the ‘Friends’ of the new generation would appear. On may 16, 2019, however, it is done, because then it will be the last episode of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ to be broadcast.
The program has been around since 2017, on tv and counts twelve seasons. Where there are first rumors were about a thirteenth season, were quickly quashed. “We already have the meat of this bone removed”, said Jim Parsons, who played the role of the eccentric Sheldon Cooper plays. “We still had a long time to be able to continue, but I don't feel that we had been able to tell. Also on a personal level, it feels like the right time to stop.”
Parsons has, however, not to complain about ‘The Big Bang Theory’. The show made him the bestverdienende tv actor in the world. He will get 26 million dollars per season. All of the actors are also entitled to a fee each time the program is re-broadcast, so they can be pretty sure that they are there even after the stop of the program well-to-do will sit, just as with the colleagues of ‘Friends’ was the case.
Writer Eric Kaplan promises in any case, a fitting end for his characters. “It is very surprising, but also very, very emotionally satisfying for all the fans.”
