Kjeld Wennick sleep quiet into the home the day surrounded by children and grandchildren, who sent him away. He was 76 years old.

After two and a half years he lost, unfortunately the fight to cancer. According to Kjeld Wennicks son, Svend Wennick, he was diagnosed kidney cancer, which quickly spread to the rest of the bones.

- Kjeld was a true Mensch. He was always positive, for him, there was really no problems, only challenges. He lifted all of the people around him, and be able to get all to grow, says his son Sven Wennick for Extra Magazine, and continues:

He blinked not once, even though he had a broken back and had cancer throughout the body.

Kjeld Wennick was early introduced to the music world, when he at the age of four years old began to play the banjo. Away went the fast speed.

He was known as barnestjerne together with his brother Jan Wennick at the end of the 1950s. The duo Jan & Kjeld, big hit in Germany and the Netherlands with the song 'Banjo Boy'.

Later he switched careers and was now behind the scene.

In the 70's he was manager of the music group 'Laid Back', and so began the great success. His vision was: to lift people and leave them a better place than where they were when he met them.

- He had some very good musical ear. He dreamed to become a manager. He breakede us, and we breakede him. There were laughing a lot and worked hard. We got great success and millionerne began to roll in, " says John Guldberg from the music group 'Laid Back'.

In 1983, he founded the record label Mega Records, who are behind the names such as Erann DD and verdensstjernerne Ace of Base.

Kjeld Wennick was loved by many, and through the years he helped several musicians on the road. For a short while, he was also the manager of the Danish rockmama Sanne Salomonsen.

- He has been a very important character and profile on the Danish and international music scene. Many of us are going to miss him. He was a firework of a man. During his illness I visited him a few times. He kept his livsgnist right up to his death, says Sanne Salomonsen to Ekstra Bladet.

According to the sons, he had an expression that was 'Full speed. Love you all. Keep Smiling', which is also the text that shall be on his gravestone.

She was his one and all, and together they traveled around the world to find a hospital that could heal Tammy Wennick. First they found out that You even had cancer.

Kjeld Wennick leaves three children - Kevin, Ronnie and Sharon. He will be buried at the Mosaic Cemetery Wednesday at 13.
