One million euros for control of Raw Superdrink, Alonso's isotonic drink

Rubén González, an Asturian entrepreneur who founded Raw Superdrink in 2018, takes over 85% of the company. The operation, which has been advised by DG Law, has consisted of the acquisition of all the company shares of two minority partners of the firm, present for less than three years in its shareholding, for an amount of one million euros .

Five years ago, RAW Superdrink began the leap towards a new generation of isotonic drinks. Founded in 2018, the firm defines itself as the only organic and sugar-free drink in its segment. The entry as an investor of Fernando Alonso, who has a participation of close to 10% of the shareholders, together with ambassadors such as Aleix Espargaró, among others, has meant a definitive advance for Raw Superdrink. Thus, the company closed 2021 with 506,000 units sold, 38% more than in the previous year. A year earlier, in 2020 the company invoiced close to 600,000 euros, also exceeding half a million units sold. Some figures that represent an increase of 125% compared to 2019, the year in which RAW jumped onto the market.

However, by 2023, the company's plans are to continue growing. "Those responsible for the firm finalize the international expansion," say sources familiar with the share purchase-sale operation by Rubén González, the entrepreneur from Gijón who imagined a drink, which he has defined in other media as "healthy, respectful of environmentally friendly and ecological. We offer it at the price of an 'artificial' product. In the idea of making a better world, we intend to help educate new generations to consume better products for their health and protect them from obesity and other diseases ".

The sustainable energy drink firm became one of Alonso's main assets after Kimoa's sale last year to Revolution Brands, a Miami-based company specializing in electric scooters and bicycles.

In addition to the aforementioned F1 and Moto GP drivers, it has ambassadors such as the Real Madrid basketball player, Rudy Fernández, as well as the Movistar Team cycling squad, and the LaLiga team, Real Club Celta de Vigo.
