This Thursday, members of the French Academy made public the first list of works selected for the Grand Prix du roman, which will be awarded on Thursday October 26. The winner of the 2022 edition was Giuliano da Empoli, for his bestseller, The Mage of the Kremlin (Gallimard).
Nine novelists appear in this first selection. Among them, Gaspard Koenig (Humus) who has already caught the attention of the jurors of the Goncourt, Renaudot, Flore, Jean-Giono and Interallié prizes. As well as Jean-Baptiste Andrea (Veiller sur elle), recent winner of the Fnac prize, who also appears on the first list of the Goncourt, Femina and Interallié prizes. Note the presence of Guy Boley, who has just won the Deux Magots prize, and whose novel To my sister and unique was also selected by Femina, Décembre and Jean-Giono.
