The national Agency for the evaluation of university system and research, established in 2006 with a law of the State in order to supervise the system of public national quality evaluation of universities and research bodies, including its own prerogatives also carries out periodic audits to ensure the accreditation of universities, expressing a judgement based on analysis of documentation and visits at the offices.

The visit was held in the week from 8 to 12 April, and was carried out by a commission of experts composed of 13 teachers and three students from other Italian universities, as well as by two officials of the Agency. Particular attention has also been paid to the involvement of students in decision-making processes, as well as to the adequacy of the services dedicated to them.
