The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, has defended that the Strategic Project for the Recovery and Economic Transformation (Perte) of the electric and connected vehicle will mean "a great boost" for Catalonia.

In an interview in 'El Periódico' this Sunday, Maroto explained that it will be beneficial for Volkswagen, but also for the project to electrify the Nissan plants: "They are two projects that are born from the Catalan ecosystem," he celebrated.
