A group of minority shareholders will sue the Government for taking over Indra's board. They call it an "assault". Minorities feel that they have been harmed by the Executive's intervention to force the dismissal and non-renewal from four independent directors. They will also take these changes to court. They will file a lawsuit through Cremades law firm to do so.
The company is currently in crisis and has lost another victim. Ignacio Martin, an independent member of the board of directors, has announced that he will be leaving his position before October 30. This is after the renewal process for the board has been completed.
Martin is leaving the company after four year. He was the only independent to have been in the position of leadership for the longest time. Together with Francisco Javier Garcia Sanz (the other director with this title who is still with the company), he will lead the selection of independent directors. Martin will preside over both of them. Antonio Cuevas will serve as third member of the new appointments committee. He will also receive the guidance of a specialist consultant.
Silvia Iranzo, an independent director, also resigned yesterday. This latest dismissal adds to yesterday's resignation. Javier Garcia Sanz is the only independent person who will continue to work beyond October.
