How content marketing is transforming the business world?

Content marketing makes or breaks the brand. The internet, over the years, has evolved to become more user friendly than it was before. All thanks to the ever-changing algorithms of the search engine giants such as Google.

These days, we see the advertisements of the products relate us to the personal level. Haven't we all participated in brands' rants on Twitter? Or Haven't we all seen those heartfelt and wholesome holiday advertisements that made us click on the website and book for vacation immediately?! These are the kinds of transformations I'm talking about.

Just a decade ago, marketing was all about creating awareness about the brand to the public in a fun way. Even when they already knew about its uses. And if you go back two decades or so, merely posting the product in a newspaper was an advertisement enough.

How did content marketing metamorphose on the internet? Here are some insights,

The Artificial Intelligence

When I say the word AI, the first thing that comes to your mind is high-tech robots or massive futuristic machines. Of course, these are also a part of artificial intelligence but they aren't the only ones. The regular updates you see on the app while your delivery boy gets you pizza or the email suggestion you get when your favourite brand is back on the website. All these tasks are picked and performed by AI.

One such AI-powered website is GetEmail.io. It has an extensive database of the professional email addresses of people from all countries. All you need to do is to enter their first and last name to find the right contact. This email finder tool also comes with a chrome extension to your Linkedin account, so finding the email of the profile you're looking at becomes easy.

Content is king

This quote by Bill Gates from 1996 is still relevant to this date. However, the prototype of the content has changed over the period. We've heard so much about SERP and SEO but seldom do many understand how it runs. The brand creates content, be it a blog or audiovisual or pictures. When posted online, the Google search engine runs its algorithms and positions it on the page accordingly.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) happens when you create the content in line with Google's policies, which are

  • Stay relevant to the current word's trends
  • Provide a link to the mobile's version of the application
  • Create engaging content

These are just a few vital points that a smart program looks for. Once you abide by most of the points, then the website will be on the top of the Search Engine Results Page (SERP).

Value thy audience

It makes no sense to have a market strategy that doesn't know where its target audience is. This is just like shooting in the dark; you either hit the bull's eye or just be lost. Before investing in any strategy, get to know the audience first. What kind of people does your brand cater to? Which platform is suitable for the brand to be most active on and so on.

When asked such questions, you can conclude on some platforms and start henceforth. Instead of spamming the audience about the magnanimity of the product, connect with them on a basic level. Know their requirements and interests. Incorporate it in the marketing strategy, if not the brand itself. Having an open conversation makes the customer feel valued. And a valued customer is always a happy customer who brings in more business!
