Alhambra Venture will host a repitch along with some of its most iconic finalists

south of Spain. Alhambra Venture has been around for nearly a decade and many of its finalist startup have become successful in the national as well as international ecosystems.

This 2022 Alhambra Venture will host a repitch to commemorate and celebrate these milestones.

An impressive track record of success: Naturcode and Galgus, Openwebinars. OWO Game. CheckTobuild. Grupo MOX.

To find startups that have grown exponentially since they participated in the Alhambra Venture editions, you don't need to look far in the Alhambra Venture editions. Naturcode is the Spanish platform that allows smart labeling for agri-food products. Finalist in the 2020 edition. It raised 90,000.00 euros in its first round of investment.

It signed an agreement last year with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Sustainable Development of Junta de Andalucia to protect the Designation of Origin (PDO), and the Protected Geographical Indications (IGP). This has enabled them to digitize over 3,500 products from more 300 companies. There are currently more than 1000 brands and over 10,000 products.

Fernando Vazquez is the CEO of the company. He explains that this journey has been difficult. The pandemic had a major impact on our evolution. The consumer has realized its power and influence on the food chain and is demanding more truthful, non-advertising information. The QRs are part of our daily lives, on the other hand. He says that NaturCode is already a success because it was able to survive as a startup, especially after a pandemic. It also acknowledges that being back in the entrepreneur benchmark is a huge advantage.

Sevillian Galgus is another success story that will be part of this edition. He was the 2018 winner. Jose Gonzalez and Jose Antonio Delgado were telecommunications engineers who founded the company while they worked in Ireland as startup founders. Their work led them to create a technology that would improve Wi-Fi connections. They returned to Andalusia with a prototype and began the project in 2013. It offers Wi-Fi networks of high quality that are suitable for both urban and rural areas.

They have continued to grow since they went through Alhambra Venture. They raised four million euros a month ago for international expansion. This is an advance on the financing round the company plans to close by the end of this year. They have also recently opened a Boston office, in addition to their offices for Colombia and Peru.

Openwebinars, an e-learning platform for technology that provides professional training and services to companies such as Mapfre or Telefonica, participated in the event a year ago. This company, which was founded on a blog, now has more than 40 employees and over 100 experts in different fields.

It closed last year with a turnover of approximately one and a quarter million euros. The expectations for 2022 are higher. More than 650 courses are offered to more than 22,000 workers in over 200 companies. They will need to expand their course catalog to 1,000 to meet increasing demand for job retraining.

OWO Game will also be participating in the repitch. This company was a finalist in 2021. It develops a novel haptic coat that allows you feel all that happens in the metaverse. The Malaga-based startup closed a bridge round of financing in May worth 1 million euros. This will allow it to reach 40,000 customers by the end of the year, when the product can be launched on the market.

His recognition is only the beginning. She won the EmprendeXXIl award a few months back and then participated in the largest technology show in the world, the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. He represented Spain and won the Innovation Award for the jacket.

Another example of rapid growth is CheckTobuild, Alhambra 2021 finalist. He won the Entrepreneurship World Cup in Spain after passing through the incubator. Through an artificial intelligence platform, the startup provides an automated inspection and control service for industrial and construction projects.

Machine Learning technology is used to make it one of the most innovative entrepreneurial ideas in the country. It can automatically compare the status and design of real construction projects.

Grupo MOX, a major logistics company, will also be participating. She was born in 2016 and recently signed an agreement to become a last-mile delivery representative in Spain for Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba. Vamox was also established by the company. It specializes in e-commerce. It is a leader in food delivery, with more than 1000 distributors and a presence across 40 cities.

It has giants like Grupo Dia and Just Eat as clients. It was named the Best Logistics Startup at the Spanish Logistics Center Awards XXX Edition last year and joined the Lanzadera accelerator.

These companies, along with 25 others, will attend the final Alhambra Venture 2022. On July 12-13, Granada will offer a full program including presentations, round table discussions, workshops, and networking to create synergies among investors and entrepreneurs. There is still time to purchase your tickets.
