The well-known model from the program's season eight was only 34 years old.

She went public with her illness back in October, when she wrote to its followers on the social media .

'It has aggressively spread in my body and can't be cured. With treatment I can possibly prolong my life longer than a few months, my doctors told me. I will not die', she wrote on Facebook.

She was admitted to hospice 22. november.

The former participant had started a GoFundMe collection, which she brought to her fight Betsmove against cancer. She had a total of 18,000 dollars before the page was shut down today.

the Winner of season eight, Jaslene Gonzales, has posted on Twitter to commemorate its former competitor.

'Friends, I have heard that Jael Strauss has passed away, I am so sorry about that. I wish I could have seen her just once more. She went through a lot. We do not know what the reason is, but she was one of the strongest I know. My prayers are with her and her family', she writes.
