"I thought you were dead," she says to the recoveries of the daughter of Connie Moultroup, in a tearful reunion followed by the local television station Fox13.
the Daughter, who lives in the state of Vermont, has always known that she was adopted. When she last year got a kit to do DNA test for christmas, she got the opportunity to find out who her biological parents are.
"It has been a life-long desire to be able to do this," she says.
Genevieve Purinton was only 18 years old and single when she gave birth to the baby at a hospital in Indiana.
" I said I wanted to see the baby. They said to me that she had died, " says 88-year-old in an interview with Fox News.
It is known that many american women were forced to adopt away their children between 1945 and 1973.
