Pilotföreningen: the Company must change the position

In Sweden we have not the system that the Norwegian collective agreements. Here and in Denmark we have other agreements in Sweden and omdisponerar we, the staff of which we already have done, says the SAS press officer in Sweden, Freja Annamatz in a comment to the Norwegian lay-offs.

" It is my opinion. What is happening in Norway is under the Norwegian rules, " says Jesper Olsson, vice president of the Swedish pilotförening.

" From our side, we are available to go back to the negotiating table immediately. But for that to happen, there needs to be a movement in the employer's position. So far we have not noticed such a movement. It has not happened anything during the day.

" the Mediator has the ability to be able to find solutions between the parties and we are open to it also. But for it to work now, so we need to see a change in the position from the company.

" We regret forever as we cannot fly as it is meant and it affects the passengers. In general it is so that we have added the requirements in these negotiations, which we believe is absolutely reasonable and has no other perception than that SAS pilots should operate under the same conditions as the other pilots in similar aircraft and on similar routes in our neighborhood. We can't really see in the description that the company makes of our kravpaket. A strike is no small thing, we look seriously at it. But we have very determined members and a large attendance.
