The japanese manufacturer Nissan announced Thursday its intention to reduce by about 20% of its global capacity of production by the end of march 2023, compared to their level at the end of march 2019, closing in particular its plant in Barcelona, which employs some 3,000 people.

The japanese automaker has furthermore announced Thursday a colossal net loss of 671,2 billion yen (5.7 billion euros) in 2019/20, well above its forecast, due to restructuring costs and impairments.
