Film Disney has a new gold mine discovered: live-action remakes of tekenfilmklassiekers. We saw ‘Cinderella’, ‘The Jungle Book’ and ‘Beauty And The Beast’ in a new jacket, but there are still a whopping 21 (!) other movies coming up! We set them - and all of them need to know - even for you at a glance. 1. ‘Dumbo’

The next Disney live-action movie is ‘Dumbo’, under the direction of Tim Burton. He was also in for the live-action movies of the ‘Alice In Wonderland’. It does not take as long for we ‘Dumbo’, because as of march 27, 2019 is the flying elephant all to see in the Belgian screens. The original was published in 1941.

Fun fact: there was no real elephant used during the making of the film. Just a mix between CGI-computer technology and actors. Among them we see, among other Collin Farrell, Danny DeVito and Michael Keaton.

2. ‘Aladdin’

The prince of thieves is back, because ‘Aladdin’ gets a reboot. Guy Ritchie, who is also the ‘Sherlock Holmes’movies with Robert Downey Jr. directed, took the project under the arm. Actress Naomi Scott who also was in the "Power Rangers", plays the role of princess Jasmine. Will Smith takes the role of the Spirit in itself and the leading role of Aladdin goes to Mena Massoud. On may 24, 2019, the film premiere.

There are rumors that Spirit is also his own film, called ‘Genies’, would get, about how he is the lamp came out of it, but there's still no further info available.

3. ‘The Lion King’

Now one of the most anticipated movies of 2019 is the new ‘The Lion King’. The trailer was already millions of views, and makes the fans almost swoon by the schattigheidsfactor of little lion Simba. In contrast to ‘Dumbo’ will this film, which will be out in July, closer to the plot of the original stick. We see, among others, Timon and Pumba, but also the Nala. She is played by none other than Beyoncé. James Earl Jones will be just like in the original, from 1994, the voice of Mufasa speaking.

4. ‘Mulan’

The popular Chinese warrior Mulan will be in march 2020 again on the big screen. After years of doubt was that in 2016, officially confirmed. They searched diligently for a Chinese actress who was perfect for the role, and that was eventually Liu Yifei, who was chosen from more than 1,000 candidates. She was already seen in ‘The Forbidden Kingdom’ and ‘The Chinese Widow’. In addition, she also works as a model. Her opponent is Yoson An, from New Zealand. The film is directed by Niki Caro, which is well known from the film ‘Whale Rider’ 2002.
