The Almeria Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium (Almeria Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium) will improve connections between Roquetas de Mar, and Almeria starting next Monday. This is a strengthening measure to address the problems that have arisen from the closures of N-340, also known as El Canarete highway.
These measures add to the recent reinforcements by the Ministry of Development, Infrastructure and Territory Planning in order to implement transport services between Roquetas de Mar and capital.
A new service to the University of Almeria will be available Monday, 23rd of April. It will depart from Aguadulce – Las Arenas at 7:30 a.m., passing through all Aguadulce stops, and arrive at the UAL.
This is the first time this service has been offered and strengthens the connection between UAL and Aguadulce. It corresponds to M-336, which is an addition to the five services already in place in Aguadulce and Roquetas de Mar.
Already, this line has reinforcements from Roquetas de Mar as well as another from Aguadulce. A portion of the M-330 service will also resume its routes on the A-7 motorway, El Parador.
The finalization of the improvements to the stop posts is underway. They will soon have QR codes that can be used to provide information about services, schedules, and stops.
After the N-340 cut, the Consortium and operators have been looking at the increase in these services. The Board of Directors discussed the matter of recovering some of the services.
