Vicar's Equality School opens this Friday with six training workshops

This Friday, the Municipal Information Center for Women of Vicar opens at the House of Youth and Sports. It is the third edition of School for Equality and Violence Prevention.

The third edition will run until June 17th. It aims to teach egalitarian values as well as other important aspects of the prevention and treatment of gender violence. This includes co-responsibility and emotional education.

The State Pact against Gender Violence (through the Andalusian Women's Institute IAM) funds the initiative. As Antonio Bonilla, mayor of Vicar pointed out, "we have an extra awareness of equality and gender differentiation and their perpetuation over the time are concerned, thus the creation of the school, understanding the need for education and training to achieve it>>.

This is another action in the Local Action Plan. It follows the Equality Plan guidelines and the Education Area guidelines. The deputy mayor was convinced that the school will promote changes in values and education, and equal opportunities between men and women.

It will be stressed throughout the development of the initiative that the primary agent of socialization during childhood is the family.
