On a Wednesday in March, Vera is sitting in the middle of a circle of chairs in a sparse conference room in Augsburg, waiting to tell her story. The 32-year-old student teacher will probably have to pay dearly for this appointment the following day.
Her whole body will then probably be even more lethargic than usual. She doesn't know yet whether she will even be able to get out of bed. But this appointment is worth it to her. To find out if she's sick or crazy, that's why she came here.
The doctors, who should actually help, are thwarted twice.
