Two new passenger cars are purchased by the Las Gabias Police Department

Two new vehicles have been purchased by the City Council for the local police service in Las Gabias. They allow the officers to carry out their daily duties.

These two Toyota brand passenger cars are model CHR125H with automatic gears. These two cars were acquired by the Consistory through a'renting' contract or leasing contract. The Consistory can dispose of them in affordable fixed installments. The purchase model allows the municipal services to rent the cars for a long time without incurring significant financial costs.

Hybrid propulsion systems combine a gasoline engine and an electric motor to power the cars. This is more eco-friendly and more efficient.

The City Council and its police force are dedicated to protecting residents while taking care of the environment.

Juan Antonio Blanco, the Councilor for Citizen Security of the City Council has stated that "we are currently managing the purchase of a new fully-electric vehicle in order to be able, in this way to be able eliminate from the fleet of police vehicles those engines which pollute the most".

Fully equipped

Both the exterior and interior finishes of the vehicles were designed by the Local Police in collaboration with Granada Comunicaciones 2012. The cars' passenger compartment is fully equipped for agents who need to travel in Las Gabias.

It includes a first aid kit and a beacon tape. The two passenger cars will have Taser equipment, a GPS location and a laptop so agents can make reports on public roads.

Gabirro Councilor highlighted that the December course was completed by municipal agents. This allows them to use an external defibrillator and can perform cardiopulmonary rescue if needed.
