This week, the Auditorium Theater in Roquetas de Mar will host a major health conference. It will take place next Thursday and Friday, 9 and 10 June.
Yesterday, Gabriel Amat (the mayor of Roquetas De Mar), was accompanied by Evangelina Martinez (the president of the organizing committee) and Ma Dolores Ruiz Fernandez (the president of scientific committee). They presented the meeting, highlighting its importance as it will bring together approximately 500 health professionals, who will be able to exchange ideas and learn from renowned speakers.
Evangelina Martinez (the president of the organizing committee) explained that the congress was held to improve the work and to address the concerns of primary care patients. "Patient associations are also welcome."
Martinez said that the congress was not held in the province in 2014 so that Roquetas de Mar was "the ideal place to host the congress in person" and that the environment will be a great one for all.
Asanec assured that there had been significant changes after the pandemic, which "should serve to reflect upon the importance of recovering primary care". These included the incorporation and present of the specialist nurse in family and school care, new care figures in residential or school, reception consultation, and the euthanasia legislation.
