Two people were arrested by the Civil Guard and 773 kilograms of hashish were seized from the double bottom of a pleasureboat in Carboneras. This was reported in a note regarding events last January.
The Comprehensive Foreign Surveillance Service, (SIVE), detected a recreational boat at "high speed" entering the port of Carboneras. A Citizen Security Patrol was dispatched to the scene to identify its occupants.
The patrol arrived at the port and observed two people fleeing the area. They found a false bottom in the boat with bales filled with hashish. Later, they weighed 773 kilograms.
The Civil Guard began the so-called "Disposal" operation to find and arrest those responsible for the stash.
After being identified and located, the Court of First Instance and Instruction number #3 of Vera were requested to enter and register Carboneras. Documents and telephones were seized and two persons were taken into custody. They were later brought to justice.
