The University of Almeria offers innovation and training in the XXIII summer courses

On July 4, the University of Almeria launched the Summer Courses. This edition offers students a pathway to learning. The UAL offers 24 seminars featuring more than 300 speakers. It also provides innovation in dealing with current issues at eight locations throughout Almeria. These venues include Almeria Roquetas De Mar, Tijola and Cuevas Del Almanzora.

These seminars were inaugurated by the course "Lifestyle and Health", which was active for three days. Azucena Begega was Professor of Psychology at Oviedo. She spoke at the conference "How to age in healthy ways". Lifestyles that promote health. She discussed the key factors to healthy aging, and how healthy habits can be an important pillar of a healthy lifestyle.

Pablo Quiroga, a neurophysiologist and neurologist at Torrecardenas University Hospital was another speaker who couldn't miss the first seminar. He spoke on "Lifestyle and Epilepsy: Truths and Myths". In which he highlighted that epilepsy affects more people than 50 million worldwide and more than 500,000 in Spain. His professionalism allowed him to provide the key to understanding how lifestyles affect disease control and highlight the "truths" that can be used to create routines that improve your quality of life.

The seminar on "The current situation in strength training for sport performance" was held during its first week. It was directed by Alejandro Benavides and Manuel Rodriguez. It was held at Castillo de Santa Ana, Roquetas de Mar. The conference discussed factors like execution speed, relative intensity, fatigue, stimulus and variable control. Juan Jose Gonzalez Badillo is Professor of Theory and Practice in Sports Training at Pablo de Olavide University. He presented the talk entitled 'The use execution speed: towards new paradigms in strength training.

David Rodriguez, a professor of Sports Sciences at Pablo de Olavide University presented the "Determination the relative intensity of the sprint with drags" and Fernando Pareja, a professor at the same university, discussed the "Effect of manipulating the variables that configure the stimulus during strengthening training". The Almeria-based firm WIMU, which is a global leader in its activities, hosted the last session. Carlos Martinez, a sports scientist, explained how the firm's technology allows them to control variables that affect soccer players during training and competition.

The celebration of the University of Almeria's Summer Course 'Socioeducational innovation within the digital age' was of vital importance. Tristan Pertinez Blasco, managing director of Andalusian Studies Center Public Fund, gave a presentation on Research and Social Innovation in Andalusia'. He stressed how important it was to take part in these seminars in order to "transfer the research done at the Andalusian Studies Center which is the only autonomous community dedicated exclusively to social research They are constantly innovating and improving the digital field. This allows them to not only focus on the Andalusian sphere but also internationally.

Due to the covid-19 pandemic they have increased their digitization efforts to adapt to the new era. Tristan Pertinez also highlighted the fact that the Andalusian Studies Center increased its funds over the past three years. They had 320,000 euro in 2018, and currently have more than 500,000 euros. This includes increasing their social research funding.

The week of success that followed the completion of the courses was concluded with the summer seminar entitled "Public-private Collaboration: Challenges for the Economic-Financial Professional and the Public Sector". Participants explored the opportunities and challenges that the approvals of the Auditing Regulations as well as the reform of General Accounting Plan present for private and public economists, and also learned about access to public tenders that can increase competition in this sector.
