The second weekend in September will be filled with brotherly acts

The brotherhood activity continues in the community. The Brotherhood of Our Lady of Angustias will celebrate its Feast this weekend with a variety of acts. These include a triduum, prayer of angelus, and a church function at the local Church of Angustias. This year, the Brotherhood has offered for sale hangings bearing the image of its owner and masks with shields for all brothers and devotees interested in participating in these unusual festivities.

The Very Old Brotherhood of the Lord of Humility, Maria Santisima de los Dolores and the Very Old Brotherhood of the Lord of Humility are two other Brotherhoods of Alcala who celebrate their festivity in September. They will begin by collecting food for Caritas at Puerta de Consolacion this morning. Participants may also make traditional floral offerings if they wish. The Eucharist will be celebrated in the honor of the headlines as well as in suffrage to all the Covid-19 deceased. The brotherhood will place an altar alongside the Stmo, as per tradition. The Virgin of Sorrows and Christ of the Expiration will be honored, although it is not possible to kiss the images this year due to sanitary precautions. They encouraged their brothers and devotees to attend the celebration, while respecting and keeping current sanitary precautions in relation to the pandemic.

Today, the Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Health ends its Quinary days in memory of its owner and organizes the III Donation of Blood and Marrow. The Casa de la Hermandad will be open for donors at 5:00 p.m. to help those in greatest need. This weekend is the focus for three Brotherhoods, which focuses their charity and worship activities.
