The Marble School trains twelve unemployed people in quarry machinery handling at the Marble School

Fines Marble School is a training facility that is part of the Andalusian Employment Service. It also houses the National Reference Center for Vocational Training In the Extractive Industries family. This week, twelve people are able to take a comprehensive preparation in the field of maintenance and handling of loaders, hydraulic excavators, and dumpers in open-pit operations.

The itinerary will consist of 615 hours of theoretical-practical training, which includes qualification to correctly carry out loading, unloading, excavation and circulation operations with loaders, hydraulic excavators and dumpers, as well as the maintenance of this machinery. The students will also be able to complete two additional modules on labor insertion as well as job search techniques.

This itinerary's student body consists of nine men (three women), half of whom are over 35, 33% of whom are between 26-35 years old, and 17% of whom are 25-years old or younger. The training level is as follows: Half of the group have a Compulsory Second Education degree; four have primary studies. One person holds a higher technical degree and the other does not.

This training itinerary is part the 2021-2023 programming at the Marble School. It includes eight actions, seven itineraries of different specialties, and a FPE Teaching Course. Three of these have been launched. This programming includes internships in companies and totals 3,910 hours of teaching. It is targeted at 120 people who are unemployed. This training is tailored to meet the needs of natural stones companies and the most in-demand occupations within the sector. Soon, the center will offer FPE to busy workers as well as training actions related to training and apprenticeship contracts.

For students who are unable to pay for tuition or accommodation, they can apply for grants and scholarships for Vocational Training for Employment. These grants and scholarships cover transportation, maintenance, accommodation, and conciliation for children aged 6 and under, or dependent family members.

Open Application Period for FPE Teacher Course

The application period for a new course in the specialization of Vocational Training Teacher For Employment is open until November 30, and it will be in high demand because of the FPE's reactivation. The training action targets 15 people who are unemployed and will lead to the level 3 professional certificate. Vocational Training for Employment and the new Employment and Training program will train the students to become teachers.

The 'Teaching of the FPE' course, which will take place from mid-January 2022 to mid-May 2022, includes 380 hours of theoretical-practical training in the didactic programming modules of training actions for employment; selection, elaboration, adaptation and use of materials, means and didactic resources in FPE; course delivery and tutoring; evaluation of the teaching-learning process and job orientation and promotion of quality in FPE. The internships will be 40 hours long.

In order to be registered as unemployed job seeker in the SAE, applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree; a certificate or diploma of professionalism at the same level as the modules they want to access; a level two certificate from the same family or professional area; and meet the requirements to gain access to the higher-level training cycle.

The following groups will receive a higher score on the scale: people younger than 30 years old, women, and people with disabilities (for which one of the fifteen places will be reserved), victims or victims of terrorism, people at-risk of social exclusion, refugees/asylees, returned Andalusian migrants, and people with a status of job seeker.
