Antonio Narvaez (mayor of Churriana de la Vega), and Ramon Burgos (president of the Andalusian Press Foundation), inaugurated "The magic of Paper", an exhibition that allows visitors to explore the rich history of journalism and media in Granada over the past decades.
Images, objects and publications were used to take us on a journey through history of the press. The exhibition will include magazines, newspapers, graphics material, technology, radio and television material.
Mayor Antonio Narvaez spoke out about the importance of journalism in society as an engine for development. He highlighted how it collects all the voices, events, and changes that have shaped us since the advent of democracy. "The media is a witness of history. It allows us to look at it in perspective, and to be aware of the opportunities and challenges ahead.
Ramon Burgos would like to thank Mayor Antonio Narvaez, Antonio Mora, Concha porcuna, and EncarnaXimenez for their support over the years.
The Fundacion Andaluza de la Prensa's collections are presented as an engaging journey that looks back at the future in an itinerant exhibit that students from Churriana de la Vega can visit.
The Granada media reflects our recent history through the numerous Granada publications from the past decades. We will also see close-up journalistic tools like typewriters, computers, and cameras, which perfectly illustrate the rapid technological evolution of the press, as well as its adaptation to new times.
