With more than 2000 visitors, the III Fair of Sustainable Tourism of the Natural Park of the Sierras de Cazorla Segura and the Villas "Naturaleza Via" "exceeded all expectations".
Jose Caballero is the president of the Association of Sustainable Tourism of the Natural Park of Cazorla Segura and Las Villas. He was also the organizer of the event, which took place last weekend in Pozo Alcon.
He expressed appreciation for the participation of both exhibitors and visitors in a note. Concerning the latter, he emphasized their participation in all activities that were free of charge. This was done to promote the many tourism options offered by companies within this protected natural environment.
He stated that the visitor data for the three days of the fair were positive and that we were able to attract around 2,000 people. This is in excess of the expectations from the beginning.
Caballero pointed out that thousands of tourists choose to visit this park each weekend to experience nature. This is a fact that this issue has highlighted with its wide variety of leisure, cultural, and tourist activities. This is the space.
He stressed that the association would continue to promote the brand, and will show in a coherent way all products and services available from private and public sources.
The programming included the awarding of sustainable tourism awards this year to Javier Torres Vela and Ideal. Also, Ideal received the Sicted badges from institutions and companies within the Natural Park.
As in previous editions, Nature alive featured exhibitors as well as active, cultural, and nature tourism activities. These included a day of practice to install headwaters for canyoning and a bus tour that takes you to the swamp de la Bolera.
The fair was held in conjunction with the 35th anniversary celebrations of the Biosphere Reserve. Since then, the Cazorla Segura and Las Villas Natural Park Sustainable Tourism Association have been planning conferences, presentations and activities throughout the year about the importance of this protected region.
As in the past, the II Short Film Contest, which was organized by the Association and supported by both the Provincial Council of Jaen as well as the Junta de Andalucia, will be held.
