The idea of creating something shared and joint by all institutes in Almeria that teach art was conceived many years ago. However, this project was one of those that covid-19 kept in a drawer until now.
The promotion of the 1st Almeria Exhibition of Arts Baccalaureates has been handled by Santo Domingo Institute. Pepe Casasola, the center's director explained that the project "tried to probe, specifically into the advisability to value and make this modality Baccalaureate know to society and, generally, into the need to Art."
He emphasizes that the idea of it being something that can last over time is also important.
So, the project consisted of three phases. The first phase saw students in participating centers produce different works. These were then part of an inner exhibition that selected the final participants.
The contest was the next phase. Each center submitted to IES Santo Domingo a maximum number of five works on paper or cardboard. In the final phase, 21 of the selected works were displayed in an act coexistence between all participants.
The works will continue to be displayed at the other centers, such as the Sabinar Institutes in Roquetas de Mar and Cura Valera In Huercal Overa, Alboran, Rosa Navarro, Olula del Rio, Alboran, Rosa Navarro, Rosa Navarro, the School of Art- Perez Siquier, also from Almeria, and the Provincial Institute of Art of Almeria.
Antonio Jimenez (delegate of Education), visited the exhibition recently and praised "the ability of students and teachers of Baccalaureate of Arts to improve during those years. There were specialties that made it difficult to adapt the teachings to our circumstances, but they reinvented theirself and the quality of the students is evident in today's exhibition>>.
Julia Ibanez, El Ejido City Councillor for Culture and Education, expressed her gratitude to the teachers, management and students for "promoting an Exhibition that was very enriching for all of the participants from all over the province and promoting with them the coexistence and absolute creativity that has been embodied through the works that are conglomerations of concerns>>.
The exhibition, which, as the territorial delegate to Education highlighted, "share knowledge, experiences, and highlight the good educational practices that enable students of Arts to achieve educational excellence."
